We believe that representation matters, and that by elevating diverse stories, we can inspire the next generation of technologists from all backgrounds and identities.
WeCoded began as an extension of the SheCoded movement, which started in 2018 as a way to celebrate International Women's Day by sharing stories from women in technology.
As the initiative evolved, it expanded to welcome and amplify voices from all underrepresented groups in tech, resulting in the inclusive WeCoded celebration we know today.
Each year, hundreds of developers share their personal journeys, challenges, and triumphs through WeCoded posts. These stories have reached thousands of readers, creating a ripple effect of inspiration throughout the tech community.
WeCoded stories have helped people find mentors, connect with like-minded individuals, and most importantly, feel less alone in their tech journey.
